EMBROIDERED DRESS

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you one very simple but cute look! This is one of my permanent looks as well (If you don't know what my "permanent looks" click Here) and it's one of the easiest. The pieces of this look are just a black dress with some sort of attention demanding detail (In this case the embroidered roses,) a pair of simple black leather booties, a small leather hand bag with an attention demanding detail (In this case, the golden studs) and a big black hat. I think that this look is very simple, comfortable and easy and it looks great. Plus, as you are wearing a hat, you can have the most hideous hair that day and no one would notice.

Hoy os muestro un look muy simple pero muy mono! Este es uno de mis looks permanentes (Si no sabéis lo que son mis "looks permanentes" haced click Aquí) y es uno de los más fáciles. Las piezas que constituyen este look son, un simple vestido negro con algún tipo de detalle que reclame atención (En esta caso, las rosas bordadas,) un par de botines de cuero negro simples, un bolso pequeño de cuero negro con algún tipo de detalle que reclame la atención (En este caso, las tacheras doradas) y un sombrero grande y negro. Creo que este look es muy simple, cómodo y fácil y queda genial. Además, como lleváis un sombrero, ya puedes tener el pelo horrible ese día, que nadie se va a dar cuenta.

BALLERINA COSTUME

Hi Cuties!

Today is the second day of Halloween week here at Motel Chanel and I'm showing you a DIY ballerina costume! Honestly, it's not a real DIY, but kind of, since half of the pieces are regular clothes and the other half are ballet clothes... I'm going to go ahead and call this a DIY costume because I didn't buy anything to create this (I do ballet so I had all of this stuff in my closet.) Yesterday was sport's day at my school, so everyone dressed up with sportswear, and I, that wanted to send a clear statement regarding ballet being seen as a sport, I dressed up as a ballerina. Ballet is one of the hardest disciplines in the world (probably a lot of people disagree with me, but that people haven't tried ballet, for sure) and I consider dancers (ballet dancers and in general) athletes. So, definitely, in my opinion: "Ballet is a sport." Anyways, this costume is very cute and very easy to get together, you just need a leotard or or a very fitted top, a pastel pink ballet skirt, or regular short skirt, pink leg warmers, black tights, black shoes (it doesn't really matter the specifics of the shoes,) and the most important part: a high bun with a scrunchie holding it together.

Hoy es el segundo día de la semana de Halloween aquí en Motel Chanel y os muestro un disfraz DIY (casero) de bailarina! Honestamente, no es un disfraz DIY completamente, pero, ya que la mitad de la prendas son ropa normal y la otra mitad es ropa de ballet... Voy a ir a por ello y llamar a este disfraz un disfraz DIY ya que no he comprado nada de lo que veis en las fotografías para crear este especifico disfraz (Practico ballet, así que tenía todas estas prendas en mi armario.) Ayer fue el día de los deportes en my colegio, así que todo el mundo tenía que ir vestido en ropa de deporte, y como yo quería dar a conocer que considero el ballet es un deporte, me disfracé de bailarina. Ballet es una de las disciplinas mas duras en el mundo (probablemente muchos estarán en desacuerdo conmigo, pero estoy segura que esa gente jamás ha probado el ballet) y yo considero a los bailarines (ya sea de ballet como a los bailarines en general) unos atletas. Así que, definitivamente, en mi opinión: "Ballet es un deporte." Ay, que me voy por las ramas! Este disfraz es muy mono y muy fácil de coordinar y encontrar, solo necesitáis un mallot o un top ajustado, una falda de ballet de color rosa pastel o una falda rosa pastel corta normal, calentadores rosas, medias negras y zapatos negros (sin importar que tipo de zapatos,) y lo más importante: un moño alto con un coletero para aguantarlo.

PLAID DRESS AND BURGUNDY HAT

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you a casual, hip look! I'm basically obsessed with hats this fall, so I styled this whole look around it. The plaid dress has very high overtures, basically, if I don't wear anything underneath you could see basically everything, so I put on this burgundy slip dress, which combines with the burgundy of the plaid dress. As, for shoes, I chose these black platform boots because they are my favorite and because they give the outfit a hyper-ish touch. I chose this black fake-leather jacket to give it a more rock-ish touch. The handbag looks a little bit asian or vintage so contributes to the hipster-ness (Is it a real word? I don't think so, but it should be) of the look.

Hoy os muestro un look muy casual y hip! Estoy muy obsesionada con los sombreros este otoño, así que he preparado todo el look alrededor de el sombrero. Como el vestido de cuadros tiene unas oberturas muy arriba, sino me pongo nada debajo se me vería todo, así que he elegido este viso granate, que además, combina on el color burgundy de el vestido. Para los zapatos he elegido estas botas negras con plataforma, ya que son mis favoritas y le dan un toque hipster al look. He elegido esta chaqueta de cuero falso para darle un toque mas rock al outfit. El bolso tiene motivos asiáticos o vintage así que contribuye a la hipsteridad (es una palabra real? no lo creo! Pero debería serlo) del look.

OVERSIZED BEIGE SWEATER AS A DRESS

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing a really cute, cozy look! This is definitely my favorite photo-shoot that I've done for the blog and I absolutely love this look and these pictures. Sometimes I just want to feel super cute but fashionable and comfy at the same time. You guys know that sweaters are my favorite clothing item, specially the oversized, so I chose this huge, soft sweater as I used it as a dress. As it's getting cold here in New York, and to give the outfit a cute touch I put on this beige knee-heights, which combine with the sweater as well. I chose this suede, beige moccasins which finish a total beige look. For accessories, I chose these golden, leave earring, this golden ear chuff with details in grey stone and this necklace. For the hair, I decided to go with a teased, high ponytail. Also, I would like to clarify that the tattoo on my hand is not a real one, is a henna one.

Hoy os muestro un look muy mono! Esta sesión de fotos es definitivamente mi favorita de las que he hecho para el blog y adoro este look y estas fotos. Algunas veces solo quiero estar mona, pero estilos y cómoda al mismo tiempo. Además, ya sabéis que los jerseys son mi prenda de ropa favorita, especialmente los extra-grandes, así que he escogido este enorme jersey, que es super suave, y lo he usado como un vestido. Como aquí, en Nueva York empieza a hacer frío me puse estos calcetines largos de color beige, que además, combinan con el jersey. He escogido estos mocasines de suede en color beige, que completan un total look en beige. Para los accesorios, me puse estos pendientes dorados con forma de hoja, este ear cuff en dorado con detalles en piedra gris y este colgante. Para el pelo, decidí hacerme una coleta alta cardada. Además, quiero clarificar que el tatuaje en mi mano no es real, es de henna.

BLUE LACE COCKTAIL DRESS

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you a formal look, which could be worn to a party, to an event or to work! I had to go to a very formal event this week and decided to wear this stunning blue lace dress and my favorite black heel shoes. I wore a black blazer as well, which can save you if you are cold and give a more classic touch to the outfit. I paired it with my favorite Prada bag. This one is the pyramid hand-bag in blue tones, which is very 60's like and I absolutely adore it. The dress, shoes and blazer make the outfit look more classic and the bag, continues in a classic line but give it a different, vintage look.

Hoy os enseño un look formal, que podéis llevar a una fiesta, un evento o al trabajo! Esta semana tuve que ir a un evento muy formal y decidí llevar este espectacular vestido azul marino de encaje y mis zapatos cerrados con tacón favoritos. También lleve un blazer negro, que os puede salvarla vida si hace frío y le da un toque más clásico al look. Además, eleve mi bolso de Prada favorito. Este es el bolso Prada pyramid en tonos azules, que es muy sesentero y lo adoro. El vestido, zapatos y blazer caen un look muy clásico, pero el bolso continuan en una linea clásica a la vez que le dan un aire vintage al outfit.
