BLACK KIMONO AND FLORAL PALAZZO PANTS

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you a very hip, asian inspired look! Sometimes when I want to feel different from the rest but formal-ish at the same time I put this outfit on because basically, anyone will wear the same thing and because it makes you look somehow sophisticated. A long time ago (maybe 2 to 3 years) I bought this kimono at Topshop and I used it a couple of times but I didn't have a permanent look to put the kimono in (so when I create looks in my head that I wear exactly in the same way every time that I wear it I call them my permanent looks.) It wasn't until last summer, when I bought this amazing floral palazzo pants, that I planed this outfit. When I saw the pants hanging at the store, I immediately styled this look (because I already had the top and shoes.) I aded a simple white top, my favorite shoes and my favorite earrings and this Asian-inspired look became one of my favorite permanent looks.

Hoy os muestro un look muy hip, inspirado en Asia! A veces, cuando quiero sentirme diferente de el resto, pero un poco formal al mismo tiempo, me pongo este outfit, ya que nadie va a llevar lo mismo y de alguna manera es un look muy sofisticado. Hace mucho tiempo (de 2 a 3 años) compré este kimono en Topshop I lo usé un par de veces pero nunca encontré un look permanente para la pieza (normalmente creo looks en mi cabeza y siembro los llevo de la misma forma. Esos son mis looks permanentes.) Este verano, por fin, encontré un look permanente para este kimono, cuando compré estos estupendos pantalones palazzo en un estampado floral. En cuanto vi los pantalones colgando en la tienda, empecé a crear este look (ya tenía el top y los zapatos.) Le añadí un simple top blanco, mis zapatos favoritos y mis pendientes favoritos y este look inspirado en Asia se convirtió en un de mis looks permanentes favoritos.

PASTEL PINK BLAZER

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you a look that I use to go to school sometimes. As you may already know, my school has a business-casual uniform policy and we have to dress according to that policy. Well, I though that this look is perfect for that and the pastel pink blazer gives it the business touch to a total casual look (navy top and black pants with black shoes.) This winter, pastel pink will be one of the "must" colors of the season, and as I love outwear in general I bought this amazing blazer. Beneath that, just a simple navy top and black pants. As for my shoes, my favorite black moccasins (which you already know from other posts) that make the outfit look more professional and chic. As accessories, I chose this black handbag, my pearl earrings, mi two favorite necklaces (which I always have with me) and my 2015 gold doted agenda. The agenda combines with the blazer and it's a "must" for school or work (or life in general) because it's extremely important to stay organized and I love visual support (look at one page and clearly know what do I have to do, when and where.)

Hoy os muestro un look que a veces uso para ir al colegio. Como ya sabeís, mi colegio tiene unas normas estrictas sobre la vestimenta: se tiene que ir "business-casual" (como para ir al trabajo, más o menos) y cada día debemos vestir acorde con la normativa. Este look es perfecto para eso ya que el blazer en rosa pastel le da el toque profesional a un look totalmente casual (top azul marino, pantalones negros y zapatos negros.) Este invierno, el color rosa pastel va a ser un "must" para la temporada y como a mi me encantan las chaquetas e abrigos de todo tipo, me compré este precioso blazer. Debajo, llevo simplemente un top azul marino y unos pantalones negros. Para los zapatos, he elegido mis mocasines negros favoritos (que ya debéis haber visto en otros posts) y le dan un toque mas profesional y chic al outfit. Como accesorios, elegí este bolso negro, mis pendientes de perlas, mis dos colgantes preferidos (que siempre llevo conmigo) y esta agenda del 2015 con puntos dorados en fondo color crema. La agenda combina con el blazer y es un "must" para el colegio o el trabajo (O la vida en general) ya que es muy importante mantenerte organizado y yo, personalmente, adoro el soporte visual (mirar a una página e inmediatamente saber que tengo que hacer, cuando y dónde)

PLEATED BLACK AND WHITE SKIRT

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm showing you one of my favorite looks of all times: a crop-top and a knee-long pleated skirt. This look is a combination of formal or business casual (skirt and shoes) with chick and cute (top.) A wore an alteration of this look to school, changing the top for one that was more "appropriate," as the one I'm wearing in this shoot has overtures in the back and is not considered "business casual." The pleated skirt with a combination of vertical and horizontal stripes in black and white gives this look a touch of sophistication and it is very flattering. I had to had a pair of black moccasins with platform to the look because it accentuates the chic feeling of the overall outfit. The black handbag basically combines with the shoes and the skirt, making the proportion between black (shoes, handbag and skirt) and white (top and skirt) in the look more balanced. Add your favorite jewelry to all that and you have a potential favorite look.

Hoy os muestro uno de mis looks favoritos de todos los tiempos: un crop-top y una falda plisada hasta las rodillas. Este look es una combinación de formal o business casual (la falda y zapatos) con chic y mono (top.) Yo llevé una alteración de este look al colegio, cambiando el top por uno mucho mas "apropiado," ya que el que llevo en ésta sesión tiene oberturas en la espalda y no es considerado "business casual." La falda plisada con una combinación de rayas verticales y horizontales en blanco y negro le da a este look un toque de sofisticación y te hace parecer muy delgada. Tenia que añadir este par de mocasines negros con plataforma al look porque acentúan la parte chic de el outfit. El bolso negro combina con los zapatos y la falda, haciendo que la proporción entre blanco (top y falda) y negro (zapatos, bolso y falda) del look sea más homogénea y haya blanco y negro en medidas parecidas. Añade tus joyas favoritas a todo eso y tienes un look con potencial para ser tu favorito.

GLAMOUR EVENT AT CHELSEA MARKET

Hi Cuties!

Today I'm not just going to talk about a specific outfit. I'm going to talk an event that a friend and I attended last Sunday, September 7th. Because of the New York Fashion Week, GLAMOUR organized an fashion and beauty event at Chelsea Market. There you could get complimentary manicures, make-up, facial treatments, flash tattoos, and you could even get you hair styled. We entered the room in the Chelsea Market where the event was held and saw all this different boutiques and stands: "Hair Salon," "Folli Follie," etc. There was also a photographer who took some pictures of us. First, we went to the Photo Booth to take some pictures, and then we went to the "Folli Follie" stand, where we got a free flash tattoo and gift bags. Then, as the line for all the other stands was very long, we went to walk through Chelsea Market and took some pics. About the outfit that I chose: I chose a green dress because green is a very fresh color. I wore black shoes to combine them with the black detail on the dress. The accessories that I wore were green to combine them with the dress and make the outfit look more organized and well planned.

Hoy no voy a hablar de un outfit especifico sino que os voy a hablar de un evento al que una amiga y yo asistimos este pasado Domingo 7 de Septiembre. Como la New York Fashion Week es esta semana, GLAMOUR organizó un evento de moda y belleza en el Chelsea Market. Allí te hacían  manicuras, maquillaje, tratamientos faciales, calcomanías, peinados, etc, todo gratis. Entramos en la sala donde se hacia el evento y inmediatamente vimos un montón de estantes: "Peluquería" "Folli Follie"... etc. También había un fotógrafo que nos hizo varias fotografías. Primero fuimos al "Photocall" a hacernos fotos y luego fuimos al estante de "Folli Follie" donde nos hicimos unas calcomanías doradas y nos dieron unas bolsas-regalo. Luego, al ver que la cola para los demás estantes era muy larga, fuimos a dar una vuelta por el Chelsea Market y nos hicimos algunas fotografías. En cuanto al look que llevé: aposté por un color fresco, como es el verde y combiné los zapatos negros con el detalle negro del vestido. Los accesorios (colgante y pendientes) los elegí verdes para combinarlos con el vestido.

ROCK-CHIC

Hi Cuties!

I started school the other day (September 3rd) and I have to dress 'Business-Casual' so I thought: mmmhh hard. It's easy for me to dress formal but it's very difficult for me to dress formal showing my own style (rock-simple.) So the first thing that came to my mind is using formal clothes but combine them in a 'Rock-Chic' way, so I'm wearing the clothes and the clothes are not wearing me. This look is perfect to look formal but casual at the same time, perfect for a school like mine, perfect for work or perfect to go to somewhere kind of formal.

He empezado el colegio hace poco (el 3 de Septiembre) y tengo que vestirme 'Business-Casual' así que pensé: mmmmhh es difícil. Es muy fácil para mi vestirme de un modo formal pero muy complicado vestirme formal sin perder mi estilo propio (rock-simple.) Así que la primera cosa que se me pasó por la cabeza fue usar ropa formal pero combinarlas de un modo 'Rock Chic,' de este modo yo llevo la ropa y no es la ropa la que me lleva a mi. Este look es formal pero casual al mismo tiempo, perfecto para un colegio como el mío, perfecto para ir a trabajar o para ir a algún lugar un poco mas arreglada.
